Radio Istra

Radio Istra je prva privatna radio postaja u Istri. U istarskom se eteru prvi put oglasila 22. rujna 1991. godine. Pokretači Radio Istre bili su Istarsko književno društvo "Juraj Dobrila", predvođeno pokojnim monsinjorom Antunom Hekom, zatim prof. dr. sc. Josip Grbac i predstavnici bivše Općine Pazin. Ekipa Hrvatskog radija - Radio Rijeke pomogla je u educiranju i osposobljavanju kadra. Do 1995. godine Radio Istra nosi naziv Radio Pazin. Od te godine Radio Istra ima županijsku frekvenciju.

Radio Istra djeluje u sklopu Centra za informacije i komunikacije "dr. Božo Milanović" sa sjedištem u Pazinu, na adresi Jurja Dobrile 6. Vlasnici društva jesu Grad Pazin, Općina Cerovlje, Općina Gračišće, Općina Lupoglav, Općina Motovun, Općina Sveti Petar u Šumi, Općina Tinjan, IKD «Juraj Dobrila", prof. dr. sc. Josip Grbac, Pazinski kolegij-klasična gimnazija i Branimir Vukelić.

Kroz svoj program, Radio Istra oduvijek nastoji promicati istinu, slobodu mišljenja, ljudsko dostojanstvo i prava čovjeka, a istovremeno i njegovati kulturne stečevine te dobre međuljudske odnose, multietičnost i multikulturalnost. Informirati, educirati ali i zabaviti slušatelje, ono je čemu kroz program konstantno težimo.
